This website was create in response to the City of East Lansing's involvement in the proposed City Center II development in East Lansing, Michigan.

In short, the City has chosen to become directly involved by attempting to secure property with the threat of eminent domain; all of which was previously unable to be obtained by the developer. The constitutional rights of the property owners, stated in Proposal 4 passed by 80% of Michigan residents in 2006, are being violated.
These documents clearly show the City's intent to use Eminent Domain in a development they are involved in.
Can we have great developments without Eminent Domain? Absolutely. Click Here to see an example of a town where Eminent Domain is not used and development is booming.
In order to provide a better understanding of the situation we have provided maps and pictures as well as links to important documents and people involved. You will also find the email addresses of the City Council memebers.
We encourage anyone who believes in private property rights in this country to voice your opinion, whether it be in an email or an anonymous comment on our Blog. This is meant to be a public process, in order work effectively the public needs to participate.
